We had our first adventure with solids this week!!  The boys have less than 2 weeks until they are six months, and since we are getting close, I decided to try some solids.  The doctor gave us the green light at their 4 month appointment, and I have just been waiting to do it.  I wanted to have a couple weeks of solids before their 6 month appointment in case I have questions. 

I think they look so cute in the high chairs.  Solids are an adventure, and I'm excited to see how they do once we give them more foods.  So far, they swallowed hardly anything and managed to make a pretty good mess.  We did have fun though, and that's all that counts!

Wakeman Weekend

Our college friends all the way from Indiana came to visit this weekend and meet the boys for the first time! We had a wonderful weekend full of Halloween activities for the kids. On Saturday we headed to Tabora Farms to pick some pumpkins and have the kids participate in the costume contest. We also took a fun wagon ride, and walked through the 'spooky orchard'! We also made it out to Red Robin for some burgers and ended the weekend with Trick-or-Treating for the first time for the boys! We are so glad they made the long trip out and cannot wait to visit them in Indiana soon (they both work at Indiana Wesleyan where Eric and I met :))

Halloween!!

The Mangin family stopped by before heading out trick-or-treating. We got the boys in costume and took a couple pictures. The night was fun as we got to go see Aunt Lynds and Uncle Adam dressed up in 70s gear as they handed out candy. Overall it was a great first halloween for the boys, and we'll be excited for next year when they can walk and really get us some candy :)

Halloween Parade

My MOMs group (Mothers of Multiples) had an outreach event today that I decided to go to at the last minute.  Usually the boys can only handle one activity/day, but I decided to go anyway and see how they did.  We had bible study this morning where they spend 2 hours in the nursery, went home for about an hour nap, then headed back out for the halloween parade.  The boys did awesome at both events.. maybe they can handle more now.. yay!!

I just joined the group and I'm getting to know some really nice moms with some really cute twins (there are triplet moms too, but I haven't met any yet)!  The event today was a parade through a nursing home facility to cheer the residents up by showing them all the cute twins dressed up in halloween costumes!  I was excited for the boys to use their costumes more than just once!  I plan on painting faces for Sunday, but we'll see what Daddy says!  There was a parade in the morning and one in the afternoon.  We had 15 kids dressed up for the afternoon parade and it was so fun!!

I have been wanting to take some pictures of the boys with the tree we planted this year for a couple months. The leaves recently changed and it's the perfect time to take some pictures. The boys had their phillies shirts on and I'm finding it's harder and harder to get them both to look and smile! Most recently we have dropped the nighttime feeding (dreamfeed for those of you who babywise), and now they are sleeping 12 hours straight! It has only been a couple nights, but I'm pretty proud of them! Enjoy the pictures!!
