While we were there, we decided it wasn't a trip to MN without going to the Mall of America! We had a great afternoon and Eric and I even rode the log ride! Yes, there is a log ride in a mall, but only in Minnesota! All the babies did great and enjoyed seeing all the crazy mid-westerners! After a long day, the babies enjoyed getting into thier PJs and smiling for some pictures!

Claire was nice enough to let Landon use her swing (a lot!). You can see he is getting bigger and tries to play with the hanging toys now. These pics were Claire right before bed our last night. I'm gonna miss this little princess until we see her again! Thanks for having us, Adam and Lindsay!! We can't wait to see you guys again!

1/2 Year Old!
We cannot believe that the boys are already 6 months old! They celebrated 6 months last Saturday and in the past couple weeks they have really shown what big boys they are! They are eating solids and taking big boy baths now! We enjoy them more each day and many people have told me this is their favorite stage, and I really understand why. They giggle and smile all the time... and we enjoy every second!
Now for the stats. We had their 6-month appointment today and they were even big enough for the flu vaccine! I was a little nervous about them getting sick from it, so I'll be watching closely the next couple days! The doctor said they both looked great and overall they are growing well. It amazes me how they are growing at almost the exact same rate even though they are fraternal. I guess they are on the same diet though :)

I attempted to take some pictures, but my battery died about 3 minutes in. I still caught a few cute pictures. I'm really wanting them to get some professional ones done soon - I'd love for a reference of someone good in the area - leave a comment or e-mail me - I would really appreciate it!

First Big Boy Bath!
We thought it would be really fun to give the boys a bath together for the first time. They were just starting to really splash and enjoy bathtime, so it was time to move upstairs and out of the sink :) I think they really enjoy being in the bath together and I'm sure this will be the first of hundreds (maybe even thousands) of baths together! Aunt Lyndsay is coming over tomorrow to help give the boys a bath since Eric has a meeting at work... we are excited to show her how fun a bath can be!!

Visitors from Indiana!
Aunt Lyndsay's parents, one of her Aunts and her MeMaw (sp.. sorry Lynds :)) came to visit this past weekend and we we lucky enough to spend some time with them! Lyndsay and Adam made a delicious brunch complete with homemade biscuits and gravy (yumm!) and we spent the early afternoon with everyone! Since Eric had given Lynds an Eagles hat at their wedding, it was time for payback.... Her parents brought the boys some REALLY cute Colts hats (with ears on the top) and we couldn't help but get some pictures. I think the Colts might be on the top 3 teams for the boys (along with the Eagles and Bengals - for PaPa, Drew and Joel)! They will be wearing the hats this winter especially since we claimed victory over them already this year! Who can't be a fan of Peyton Manning though.. what a great guy (came from LA like Aunt Keri, so we gotta like him a little!)

Avocado Anyone?!?
Last night the boys tried their first fruit!! Avocado was on the menu and while they both ate some of it, Jordan really enjoyed it the most. He ate all of his and some of his brothers! Then there was some milk left, and I decided that Jordan might be thirsty after all that food. He actually HATES the bottle and cries sometimes when he just sees one. Well, he must've been thirsty because he drank ALL the milk and when I tried to take the bottle away, grabbed for it like he wanted more... maybe we are turning a corner?!?
Overall they are doing really well. I enjoy waking up everyday and seeing what the day holds. They both seem to be working on getting some teeth, but none have popped through quite yet. They are smiling and laughing pretty much every waking moment and both are starting to try to sit up a little bit. They both still need some support, but I'm amazed how fast time is going by and how fast they are changing and growing.
Jordan's new nickname from Nana (Grandma Schmidt might change her name to Nana... we'll see) is Sweet 'n Sour. He can be just as happy as can be one moment, then the next he is screaming louder than you would expect could come from such a small guy. His favorite things continue to be watching his 'little' brother constantly, holding his hand whenever Landon lets him, whenever anyone sings to him (and trust me, anyone... both Eric and I can't carry a tune, but he sure loves when we sing anyway) and putting whatever he can into his mouth. My favorite time of day with him is late afternoon when he should really take a quick catnap before bed, but would rather smile and laugh at mommy. We put him in the swing, and I sit on the floor next to it and sing to him. He just smiles and laughs, then cries loudly when I try to sneak away to eat dinner with Eric. He is starting to really get sensitive when I walk away or don't give him attention. It makes a mommy feel so special and needed :)
Landon continues to be quite an active little guy. He is constantly moving around and now rolling across the floor whenever we put him down. Sometimes he will try to roll right over Jordan which is pretty funny since Jordan doesn't move around too much and just watches as he is getting smashed :) Landon still has a raspy cute little voice and loves to chatter up a storm even sometimes when he's supposed to be eating. This is probably why he doesn't eat as much as Jordan, he just has too much to say! Landon really loves his daddy in a special way. Whenever Eric gets home from work, or wakes up in the afternoon, he's sure to get some giggles from Landon even if he was just fussing for me. Eric likes to lift him up over his head, and ... gasp even toss him in the air a little. Landon REALLY loves it and you can tell he is gonna be a daredevil! He is also very ticklish and will belly laugh if you tickle his little neck. He is such a special little boy, and I'm so blessed to have 2 such different sweet personalities.

Gimme Some Rice :)
We had our first adventure with solids this week!! The boys have less than 2 weeks until they are six months, and since we are getting close, I decided to try some solids. The doctor gave us the green light at their 4 month appointment, and I have just been waiting to do it. I wanted to have a couple weeks of solids before their 6 month appointment in case I have questions.
I think they look so cute in the high chairs. Solids are an adventure, and I'm excited to see how they do once we give them more foods. So far, they swallowed hardly anything and managed to make a pretty good mess. We did have fun though, and that's all that counts!

Wakeman Weekend
Our college friends all the way from Indiana came to visit this weekend and meet the boys for the first time! We had a wonderful weekend full of Halloween activities for the kids. On Saturday we headed to Tabora Farms to pick some pumpkins and have the kids participate in the costume contest. We also took a fun wagon ride, and walked through the 'spooky orchard'! We also made it out to Red Robin for some burgers and ended the weekend with Trick-or-Treating for the first time for the boys! We are so glad they made the long trip out and cannot wait to visit them in Indiana soon (they both work at Indiana Wesleyan where Eric and I met :))
