Easter 2012

We had a wonderful Easter with the Schmidt family this year.  Aunt Lyndsay is very pregnant, and the boys are excited to talk about and even 'touch' the baby!  They understood the Easter Egg hunt and enjoyed collecting the eggs, and opening them up to see what is in them.  They had lots of help from everyone finding the eggs, and overall had a great day!

Spring Break 2012 - Cleveland

The boys and I got the opportunity to escape to Cleveland for a week and spend time with family.  Eric got to go to Pittsburgh to enjoy the Phillie's first win of the season!  Eric got to meet Charlie Manual and thought Pittsburgh was alright (nothing compared to Philly, of course!)

We spent the week visiting with Grandma Purcell, Uncle Drew, Aunt Keri, Cousin Jack and Cousin Karly.  Aunt Tracie even came up for an evening to see everyone!  We enjoyed the parks in the area, the zoo and some shopping.  Overall it was a great trip filled with fun cousin and Grandma time.

Grandma Purcell got outfits for Easter for all the kids.  We had to dress them up before we left and get some pics.  We didn't get a super good one, but that is what we expected with 3 under 2 :)  Jack did great smiling the whole time!

21 Months!!

I always heard people say that time flies when you have kids, but I didn't quite believe until it started happening to us!  The boys are growing so quickly that I can hardly keep track of all the new and fun things they are doing each day.

Here is the monthly low-down.

Landon

He is still high strung overall.  He 'gets stressed' very easily and lets everyone around him know it
He is also very caring and will be found trying to hug his brother regularly
His favorite meal is breakfast, and he now requests 'chocolate' milk often
He calls Aspen "Aspey" and will yell it loudly out the back door when it's time for Aspen to come in
He doesn't say Jordan yet, but he does say "JD" (I sometimes call Jordan 'JD' short for Jordan David)
He loves to put on and take off his shoes
He is good at time-out :)
He is a great napper and sleeper.  He has his lovey still.
He has some hockey hair going on these days - daddy love it that way!
He has almost all his teeth
He says 'peeze' really good, and we're working on 'thank-you'
He is starting to count
One of his favorite/best pronounced words is "Em-i-Lee"
He loves to clean and jumps at the chance to 'play' with a vacuum, mop, broom etc.  He even has his own 'cleaning' spray bottle with water in it

Jordan

Overall a very sweet boy still.
He loves to cuddle and lay his head on your shoulder when you hold him
He loves to follow his brother around and do whatever Landon is doing
He's good with blocks and putting shapes in the right places
Still has a little 'stranger anxiety' when we drop him off at the gym or Sunday School
He can open all the doors in the house and often tries to escape
He loves his blankie, and overall sleeps pretty good (except when his brother wakes him up early!)
He laughs at Daddy the most - and even loves to rough house
He is daring and will jump from couch to couch even though he falls the most
He is a great eater and will try anything.  He loves sucking the juice out of oranges, and not eating the fruit (like his mom)
Loves any and all electronics, but now knows which phones are "mama's" and which is "dada's"
Loves any and all candy

20 Months?!

I can't believe the boys are already 20 months old!  I have switched over to telling people that they are 'almost 2', and I can hardly believe it when it comes out of my mouth (and most people don't believe me b/c they are still miniature)!  Overall they are doing great, and we are enjoying all the new things going on.  Here are some pics and highlights of what the boys are up to:

Jordan:
His new favorite position - chillin' with Daddy. (He started this completely on his own, and whenever Eric is on the couch watching sports, Jordan goes right next to him with his hands behind his head.. so sillly & cute!)
Loves to eat anything - very well behaved at the table
Laughs like crazy mostly at Landon, Aspen and Daddy.  Tends to lose it when being tickled!
Loves being held by mommy after nap.  Likes to lay his head down and cuddle still - I hope this NEVER ends!
      Gives kisses and hugs
Says "puh, puh, puh" for please
Loves Baby Einstein still, and will sit still and watch as long as we let him
Very kind to his brother, and not too bad with sharing
Knows what a cow, lion, elephant and snake say

Landon:
This is a typical Landon face.  He likes to be held and get his way, and lets you know when he wants/needs something.
Still obsessed with his lovie.  Would carry it around all day if he was allowed
Loves independant play time, and requests it by standing by the stairs each morning at 9:00 AM
Sleeps very well for 2 naps still and at least 12 hours - started using a pillow pet after Christmas
Has almost all his bottom teeth.  Doesn't mind showing you them.
Knows all the same animals as Jordan and where most of his body parts are.
Tries to 'quack' by blinking his eyes and moving his mouth (but nothing comes out)
Fearless - will go down big slides and climb up almost anything
Totally a mama's boy - hope this never ends!!

Purcell Visit January 2012

We had an amazing visit with all the Purcell's last week to celebrate dad's 60th birthday!  Everyone came to PA including Uncle Joel, and we had a great time together!  We usually go to Hilton Head, but this year, we decided to change it up a little.  We cooked, went out to eat, spent some time at the Y pool and everyone had almost as much fun as we would've had in S.C.  Drew and Keri took a lot of videos, so we don't have as many pictures, but below are some snippets of the fun that was had!
