15 Month Check-up

We had our 15-month check-up yesterday for the boys and it went great!  They are both doing well and continuing to grow and develop.  The doctor was happy with all the milestones.  Jordan was a little more fussy and didn't want the doctor to touch him at all.  Landon just looked and smiled at the doctor when he was getting checked out, but he didn't like it when Jordan was crying!

They got 2 shots and they both had to get them in the arm this time.  Not that it was any better, but they only cried for about 30 seconds each!  We went to get pizza after, and that made them happy!  We need to keep feeding them lots of food and calories since they are still little peanuts.  And now... here are the official stats!

Jordan - Head - 18"            Length - 29 1/4"       Weight - 18 lbs 11 oz
Landon - Head - 17 7/8"     Length - 29 1/4"       Weight - 18 lbs 7 oz

Overall they are both doing great.  Here are some fun things happening for each of them:

Jordan:
Not fully walking by himself yet, but he has taken 5 steps at once a couple times.  He is very independent and will only walk when HE wants to.. no setting him up or having him show off!
Loves to eat almost anything.  He will try anything, and while he likes to take food out of his mouth to look at it, he will always put it back in and eat it.
Sleeps VERY well.  He likes to talk before naps and play with his toys, but still takes 2 full naps a day (1 1/2-2 hours)  He also sleeps 12-13 hours each night and only wakes up when teething
Starting to get his first molar and it has only bothered him one night
Loves getting his teeth brushed every night
Obsessed with electronics.  If there is a phone, remote or anything in the area, he scopes it out and plays with it.  Gets VERY upset when anyone (even brother) tries to take away these 'toys'
LOVES his uncle Adam.  He cries when Adam leaves the room or puts him down
Loves when daddy tickles him before bed
Bangs on his chest (daddy showed him) every time we take off his shirt
Babbles a lot, we think he might be speaking Chinese
Pretty serious guy, but when he's happy, he's REALLY happy
LOVES his brother and constantly tries to hold his hand (especially in the high chairs).  He will point and laugh if you ask "where is Landon"?
Loves playing with his toys, especially the play phones and the ball popper

Landon
Walking and almost fully running at this point.  Laughs and is so proud when he chases Aspen and catches him.
Eats pretty well, but enjoys throwing food on the floor almost as much as eating it
Mama's boy all the way.  Will cling to me when I'm around and talks about Mamamama whenever he sees pictures or hears my voice
Sleeps really well, just like his brother (I know, I'm very blessed in this area!)
Balloons are his favorite thing ever.  Whenever we go to the grocery store or ANYWHERE that has "baloo"s we are in so much trouble!
Starting to pick up the toys and understand commands.  If you say 'no' to Landon, he squints his eyes and sometimes cries.  What a strong little conscious!
LOVES milk and the sippy cup.  He will carry it around all day if you let him
Attached to his lovey for naps and bedtime.  He puts the tag in his mouth and is as happy as can be when he has his lovey.
Knows where his nose is, and loves when you ask him about it.  He will point to it every time, then try to 'honk' yours too!
Knows where his toes are and loves trying to put socks on himself
Loves his brother and will try to give him a hug when he's walking around
Loves getting tickled by daddy and laugh until almost in tears almost everynight!

Jordan's First Haircut

I have waited a couple months for Eric to say that it was time for the boys to have a haircut!  He has been saying for a while that he wants them to have have long 'hockey hair', so a haircut was out of the question.  Well, to acheive the perfect 'hockey hair', I'm told that it all needs to grow evenly, so he was finally ready to let the hair be cut!  I had gotten some questions lately from strangers if I had 'boy/girl' twins, and so I knew it was time!

We went over to Sharkey's in New Britain (which was GREAT by the way!).  They had a first haircut package where the boys got certificates, pictures, and we got to keep some of the hair for the baby books!  They both did excellent with no crying.  This might be because they got to sit in cool cars and watch elmo!  Overall it was a fun experience, and now the boys look like little men!
