Sunday Best

We were getting ready for church this morning and I couldn't help but get a couple pics before we left. We did this hairstyle when we went to dinner with Nana and Grandpa last week, and I thought it was appropriate for church as well :) I love these boys so much, and they are really starting to look like mini-men!

Busy May

We have had a busy May with the boy's birthday, my first Mother's day, the baby dedication, Eric's birthday, Eric's suprise weekend and our 7th wedding anniversary! The boys have done great with all the activities and overall we are just enjoying them so much! Neither of them are walking yet, but Landon is starting to make some real progress. They both get around quite a bit, even if it's not the traditional ways that 1 year olds do it :) Landon fully crawls and pulls up and will push toys all around. Jordan does his own version of crawling that includes getting in the correct position, then swinging his rear in the direct he wants to go. It's quite impressive, if you ask me (but I am partial). They are eating almost all solid foods and less and less purees. They jabber all the time, and I believe we are close to having our first real words. They both say Mama quite a bit, and Landon's new favorite is 'baloo' for baloon. I'm impressed each day how much closer he gets to saying it! He also says 'ball' whenever he sees a ball. They are learning and growing so fast, and I'm so blessed to be a part of it each day!

Below are a couple pictures of the first time they ever watched a video. I'm not big on TV for the kiddos, but they both woke up early from a nap the other day, so I decided I would try to keep them calm by letting them watch a baby Einstein. I was shocked how long they sat there and watched. You can see they did have some snacks during the viewing :) Even Landon sat there for 15 full minutes just glued to the T.V. :)

Look at all those tempting toys.. not even interested

The boys have really been enjoying the nice weather lately, and below is the new morning routine. Emily will take them outside on a blanket for the morning snack and playtime. They love being outside and just enjoying the sun and fresh air. I love the little hats they have on (they match their swimsuits!) Eric really loves the outdoors, and I know they will too (especially since we have a no video gaming systems - ever rule)!

7 Years with my Best Friend!

Today is our 7 year wedding anniversary and I just wanted to take a second to say happy anniversary to the love of my life! The picture below is us during our honeymoon. We've always enjoyed spending time together and these past 7 years have been amazing. I'm so lucky to have such a wonderful man to walk through life with and I couldn't have asked for anything more! I've really enjoyed watching Eric become the amazing dad that he is this past year, and I'm excited to see what our future holds.

Happy Anniversary, love!!

1 Year Check-up

We took the boys to the doctor yesterday and they got a clean bill of health!  They are growing so big, and I really can't believe they are already a year old!  The continue to grow on their own chart, and aren't making the percentages, but the doctor wasn't worried about that at all.  They are still peanuts, and that's just the way I like them!!  Here are the stats!  They continue to remain pretty consistent!!

The both have 4 teeth on the top and 2 on the bottom.

Jordan - Weight 17 lbs 11 oz, Length: 27 1/2 inches

Landon - Weight 17 lbs 13 oz, Length: 27 inches

If you have held the boys, you might think that Jordan weighs more, but I think it's more just how they hold themselves.  Landon is more stiff, so he feels lighter, and Jordan just melts into your arms.

We couldn't love them more, and each day just gets better and better!

Right before bed Landon decided to make quite the mess!  Daddy was playing with Jordan and this is just a typical night at our house around 7:00 PM :)

Trip to the Zoo

On Eric's birthday my parents were still in town from the fun weekend, and we decided to take the boys to the zoo!  We stopped by Aunt Lyndsay's classroom on the way and met her students.  They were so excited to meet the boys and we had a great time with them!  After that we headed to the zoo for a couple hours before Papa had to go to the airport.

Jordan loved the animals and Landon was a little scared.  Overall the did great, and I'm sure this will be one of many trips to the zoo!  Eric had a nice birthday that ended with a nice dinner and some icecream cake!

First trip to the zoo - so fun!

Jordan wanted to touch all the animals - Landon not so much

Baby Dedication

The day after the party was Mother's day.  We had planned on dedicating them at our church, and it was the perfect weekend because my parents were in town.  The boys did great on stage, and Eric was well prepared for some cheerios when we needed them :)  We feel so blessed to have such a great family and we have committed to bringing the boys up in a Christian home.  We really love our church and we are so excited to see the boys learn about Jesus and make commitments of their own.

Texas Roadhouse

After the dedication, the boys took a quick nap, then we headed out to lunch for Mother's day.  We went with Nana & Grandpa Schmidt and Grandma & Papa Purcell, Adam and Lyndsay and us.  We enjoyed our time together, and the boys got to try lots of new foods.

After that, we headed down to the Phillies game with my parents.  Aunt Lynds and Uncle Adam watched the boys, and loved playing with their toys.  Landon pushed around one of the toys and Lynds has video of his first assisted steps!  He is growing so fast, and Jordan isn't far behind :)
