Beach Bums

Well, we made it down to the Jersey Shore this weekend, and although I told Eric it would be an adventure, he didn't believe me until we lived it! Our good friends, the Nobles, were moving down to Egg Harbor Township, and we were enlisted to help them pack and unpack. We are really going to miss the Nobles, but know that since they are close to the beach that we will see them a lot!

We left Saturday morning and the boys did GREAT in the car. They slept the whole way and did great! Then we got to the house and helped unload for a while before heading over to where we were staying. We have friends that live right in Ocean City and they were out of town for a baby shower (can't wait to meet little Sammy!!), so we were able to stay at their place! That evening we headed to the boardwalk, and Landon slept the whole time in the baby carrier, and Jordan cried almost the whole time in various positions :) Needless to say it was the nosiest boardwalk experience we've ever had!

The boys slept together in the pack 'n play in our room that night which we have never had them sleep together overnight in a pack 'n play and we haven't ever slept in the same room as them (except in the hospital :)) They did great and everyone slept really well with just one middle of the night feeding!

The next day we headed to the beach, and once again Landon was able to sleep in the car seat, and Jordan cried most of the time. I used to call Landon my little 'fussypants', and I think Jordan was getting jealous of the awesome nickname. Just when I think I have these boys figured out, they do something different!

After about 2 hours at the beach, it was time to head home... again they both slept the whole way which was great! Overall, I think it was a great adventure, but I'm not sure Eric will be so brave next time :) Daddy doesn't hear them cry all week, so he was surprised when they wouldn't just fall asleep when we wanted them to!!

There aren't too many pictures since there was so much crying and not very much smiling... but enjoy what we got!

Getting ready to go to the beach... I think the faces say it all!

Dressed to go.. (Thanks Cousin April for the awesome outfits!)

Landon slept in the carseat most of the time like a little angel

Oh Jordan.. still awake, but so cute!

Then Landon hung out in the pack 'n play once he woke up

Landon LOVES the beach... he'll be back!

Visit from Uncle Drew!

Uncle Drew recently got promoted at his company and is now the regional sales manager over PA!! He has a couple business trips a year to his territory, and we were so excited to learn that the week after his promo, he had his first trip out to Philly! He got in early in the morning and drove straight up to see us. It was pretty far out of his way, so we were so lucky to get to see him (even if it was quick)! I was also able to time it just right so he could see the boys awake, although they were getting sleepy by the end of the stay! We are so excited for Uncle Drew's promotion and hope to get to see him whenever he comes out!

The boys were ready for a nap!

Daddy LOVES to get the boys up from naps because they are cuddly and cute! This day, Jordan was just staring at daddy and they were having a pretty interesting conversation. Jordan has really started to jibber jabber a lot, and it's the cutest thing! Landon also makes a lot of noise, and it's amazing how different their voices are (Jordan's is kinda high and babyish, and Landon's is raspy). I love my boys so much and continue to look forward to each day to see what new, fun thing will happen!

I can see the love in both their faces!

So much fun!

I just put my memory card into my computer and realized that I had some pictures I wanted to share, but never got around to it! A couple weeks back we had the fun opportunity to babysit Danny (Dan and Steph's little guy), and we had such a fun time! It was when my mom was still here, so having the twins and him wasn't even much of a challenge :) He was so well behaved and even went to bed like a little gentleman! Eric was happy to have someone he could actually roughhouse with, and it was nice to listen to all his ideas and watch him eat a ridiculous amount of fruit!! Thanks for coming over Danny... we had a great time!!

My mom and Danny shot all these darts on our high fireplace.. Eric had fun getting them down!

The boys doing the usual.. play gym.. they love this thing :)

Danny didn't want pictures at first, but then warmed up fast

He thought the boys were having fun, and took his turn!

Danny took this picture.. told me to make a 'funny face'... I don't think I'm that funny!

Danny wanted to hold Landon.. he did good!

The boys LOVE their swings so much! I found Landon the other day sleeping with his arm up like this... and I had to capture it. His swing is the 'lamby swing', and I think he looks so cute in it!! The swings have helped to save my sanity! If the boys are ever upset or crying out of control, I can place them gently into the swing, and suddenly the world is all better! These have given us the gift of quiet meals and is the best babysitter ever :) Maybe I would have more patience to rock the baby if there was just one, but when you have 2 screaming, anything that helps settle them down is much appreciated!!

Landon being his crazy self

Jordan prefers the fishy swing.. isn't he just so sweet and innocent!

Visit from Grandma Purcell

We had an amazing visit with Grandma Purcell this past week. She was here to visit the boys for an entire week, and we had an awesome time with her! She really enjoyed seeing how much the boys have grown, and I started to get used to having the extra pair of hands around. I changed a lot less diapers and burped a lot less babies in the week she was here, and now it's back to reality! Mom cooked us some great meals too, and always volunteered to clean the kitchen. We sure wish she lived closer, but we're so glad she can come visit when she wants :) We missed PaPa this week, but it's because he has a new job, and we're so proud of him! We love you Grandma Purcell, and we can't wait for you to come back soon!!

She showed she can handle both with ease

We got a couple pics of me with the boys too... since I usually take the pics

Happy 3 Months!!

The boys turned 3 months this week! I can't believe how fast the time is going by, and how much bigger they are getting! They are doing great, and I'm enjoying every moment! They are sleeping at least 7-8 hours at night, on a schedule during the day and really doing great! I'm not sure how big they are now, but I can tell they are getting stronger and starting to act like little boys!

My mom is visiting for the week, and we are enjoying all the quality time! We decided to take some 3 month pictures of them together. I am far from a good photographer, and I'm just doing my best to capture some of the fun moments! Enjoy the pictures of my precious boys!
